PARTICLEBOARD

The particleboard used by TOPSTAR complies with EN 312/1-4 standard.
  • High resistance to flexing (11 N/mm2)
  • High resistance to detachment of outer layers (0.8 N/mm2)
  • Low swelling of thickness after being immersed in water (15% in 24 hours)
  • High cohesion of inner layers (0.25 N/mm2)
  • Low formaldehyde content (E1.8 mg/100, class 1) (EN120)
  • Density: approx. 600-650 Kg/m3 variable according to thickness
  •  

    On request, waterproof (V100) or fire retardant (class 1) particleboard can be supplied.

     

    LAMINATES (HPL)

    The
    High Pressure Laminates (HPL) used by TOPSTAR comply with EN 438/1-2 standard.
    The large variety of HPL sheet sizes and postforming up to an R 5 radius (superpostformed laminates) allow wide application and for waste to be kept to the minimum.
  • Resistance to impact (in excess of 20 N)
  • High resistance to scratching (in excess of 1.75 N, with overlay)
  • High resistance to cigarette burns
  • High resistance to domestic chemical products
  • High resistance to artificial light
  • High resistance to abrasion
  • High resistance to heat
  • Low formaldehyde content
  • On request, fire retardant (class 1) laminates can be supplied.

     

    LAMINATES (CPL)

    The Continuous Pressure Laminate (CPL) used by TOPSTAR is available in varying thickness from 0.3 to 0.5 mm, in a variety of surface, decor and colour finishes.
    The fact that there are no limits to the desired surfaces (up to 4200 mm in length) allows the support characteristics to be exploited to the full with the minimum of waste.

  • Glues

    The glues used are high performance and vary depending on the final application on the top or on the curved parts.

    Edges

    Exposed parts are protected by 0.45 mm thick laminate or foil edges, or 0.5 to 3 mm thick PVC and ABS edges.
